Studies have proven that important documents from the Paleolithic Age were found in Yarımburgaz.

The data obtained show that Yarımburgaz may belong to Lower/Middle Pleistocene and perhaps Çibanian for now, which reveals that Yarımburgaz is the oldest known settlement in Turkey today and suggests that it may have served in the settlement of the European continent as well.
