The bastion, located on the Karakum road in the east of the peninsula, was built in the 19th century to ensure the safety of the shipyard against the dangers that may come from the sea and to protect the ships in the port. It is half moon shaped. In the lower part of the building, which has 11 cannon slots on the top, there are large spaces used as ammunition and dormitories, and a cellar.

It is open to visitors between 8.30-21.30, 7 days a week.

One of the best examples of the bastions, which we can call the most forward line of defense against the enemy, is the bastions in Sinop. In the Pasha Bastions in Sinop, there are 11 trenches and cannon beds, an arsenal and cellars. The infrastructure of the region consists of hard volcanic rock due to its geological structure, and bastions are built by digging a large pit here. The most important features of the structures, which are prepared without any architectural concerns, are that they are robust and safe. Bastions are categorized according to the way they are built. Among the star, earth, crescent and bow type bastions, the Pasha Bastions in Sinop are included in the Crescent Bastion type. From a bird's eye view, it is clearly seen that it is in the shape of a half moon.

The guns in the visor and ball bed had a range of 600, 900 meters, but they did not explode where they fell, they were used to break and shatter due to their weight. The balls spilled in the armory where the Martyrs' Fountain is located in Sinop were excavated years later and started to be exhibited in the Sinop Archeology Museum.
