It was built in the 3rd century by the Roman Emperor Caracalla, son of Septimius Severus, in the name of Asclepius, the God of Health.

Financial support was provided by Tiberius Julius Justinianus, one of the wealthy of the city.[6] Today, this platform, which is called the Roman Bath, is a mound, the Roman Age (Partly Byzantine and Seljuk levels) at the top, and the remains of the Phrygian Age settlement below it.

The plan of the building can be understood as the stone remains under the mound are very well preserved. According to this, it is understood that the building was built according to the imperial standards rather than a provincial city bath.

Bath 80 x 130 m. size, made of stone and brick. With its entrance on Çankırı Street, you can enter the physical education and wrestling place called Palaestra, which spreads over a wide area surrounded by the ruins of a colonnaded portico. There are many four-cornered and round inscribed columns on the colonnaded road on the right side of this section.
